1.  One way to help is by doing The Endangered Species Act which helps to protect the California condor and makes it possible to learn important information about its biology. Foundations and programs still work to ensure that this species recovers from it's extinction.

2. One thing that the U.S. Army has recently done is by starting to use bullets made with tungsten-tin and tungsten-nylon cores instead of lead. Other alternatives are also available for the public. If you hunt, research lead-free ammunition available in your area. This can make a huge difference because than fewer condors will die from lead poisoning.

3. Another way you can help is by adopting a condor. This is sending money to different funds like the one at the San Diego zoo and they use that money to help save the condor. Even though it is ugly, we should still donate money to help save them from extinction.

4. Spread awareness! Your average person may have never even heard of this lovable bird being tortured by the threat of death. Posters email, flier's wikis like this one, anything that you can do to get your friends and just plain everyone involved!

5. Put away the chainsaw! Another way of saving our gentle bird is to stop ruining their habitat. Tree after tree we cut we affect the environment, rainfall, and even the California condors! We deprive these creatures of proper habitat. Deforestation and habitat destruction can also kill some of the other animals this scavenger devours to the point where they are very scarce or being taking into captivity or even to extinction in the near future. If we stop our horrible habit of ours it is going to give them a place to live in the wild, and they won't have to live in captivity.  The habitat of the condor is already small, so if you don't want it to get any smaller then stop cutting down trees!

6. Stop the drills! Condor habitats are destroyed by drilling for oil and natural gas. So these birds need a little personal space! Go drill somewhere else!

7. If you are looking at opening a new business then boy do I have one for you. A Condor breeding center. If you do this you won't just be saving a bird you will be saving one of are nations most "beautiful" birds.

8. You can also collect money from your friends and family and give to an organization.  Giving the Condor groups can help with all the Condors needs and help them rescue or beloved brother the condor.
